Carlos Scalise

Born on June 28, 1974, Carlos M. Scalise was the first born of 4 children to Carlos Scalise Sr. and Patricia M. Scalise. Carlos is a proud father to two beautiful little girls.

Scalise is a contributor as well as cover artist for:
Men In the Company of Women: A Provocative Anthology of Praise & Persuasion.

His beautifully evocative painting 'The Geisha' haunts the cover of this fine collection.

His artistic voyage through life began from the time Carlos picked up a pencil. As a child and into his adolescent years, many days and nights were spent sketching and drawing. Carlos took several years of drafting throughout High School and took several courses in cartooning and art. Moving through college, Carlos focused on other aspects of art which included Theater Arts and professional acting.

His craft is visually stunning with an element of mystery & sensuality to all he captures on canvas. Carlos also finds his focus studying the Martial Arts of Tang So Doo, running several Marathons a year nationally and internationally, skydiving, snorkeling, surfing, motorcycle riding and various different types of charity work.

Scalise has recently established So. Cal. Minis, an art illustration and toy concept design company based out of Thousand Oaks, California. Since then, he has done work for such clients as musical composer Danny Elfman and various other private clients. He is currently developing his own line of collectible figurines based off of a storyboard he has created.

Without any formal training Carlos found his niche in oil painting. Since 2010, he has painted a handful of pieces. Several which  have been displayed or sold in the Santa Paula Art Show and Exhibit for several years in a row.
