Cristina Umpfenbach-Smyth was raised and educated in Germany, subsequently living in France (Provence) for a number of years before moving to Manhattan where she resided for ten years. She eventually and permenently, relocated to the Pacific Northwest.
Once a staff reporter for a German travel magazine and researcher for the German Tourist Bureau, Cristina now writes poetry and has been published in the Desperanto Publishers “Secret”s series and her work is featured in the recently released, “In The Company of Women” anthology published by Edgar & Lenore’s Publishing House. In her downtime, she translates light fiction and a variety of different genres.
