Jayson Pida

Jayson Pida is a born and raised Los Angeles native. Through the years, he has accumulated a background as varied and eclectic as anyone else who calls Southern California home – from veteran and pilot to public school teacher and college instructor with doses of exploration among the unique denizens of Angel City.

Jayson’s love of poetry began when he was a young, impressionable boy living the American Dream in the San Fernando Valley. Upon hearing a reading of the masters of 19th century American free-verse and gothic rhyme one star-lit night, he knew life, for him, had changed. Currently you can find him participating in, and assisting, numerous poetry events across Southern California – most recently earning an MFA from Otis College of Fine Arts in Los Angeles. He has recently completed two books of verse and prose, Sabot and Phantom Memories.

Edgar & Lenore’s Publishing House is proud to welcome Jayson as a contributor to the soon to be released Men In the Company of Women: A Men’s Anthology of Praise & Persuasion.
